It was during the forced break at the start of the pandemic that Pierre Lavoie thought about his concept. “I knew that I was fixing the storage problems in the trucks and that it would also reduce the risk of injury.”

The patent-pending product can already be purchased online. It is of industrial quality and transfers from one vehicle to another because it adapts in width and in length, specifies the entrepreneur who is also the owner of the company Idrotek Innovation.

The mechanized system can be installed in virtually any pickup box.

The system is also manufactured in the company's workshop in La Baie. To add an even more regional touch, it is made of aluminium.

Pierre Lavoie's son, his daughter and his son-in-law have embarked on the project. For them, it is undeniable that the product has an international reach.

The project was funded to the tune of 440,000$. Investissement Québec participates, as does Promotion Saguenay. “We often talk about the pandemic in a negative way, but there are people like you who have taken action and it is encouraging for the economic future”, mentioned to the entrepreneur the deputy for Dubuc, François Tremblay.
